Demolition

In efforts to further community revitalization, the CDC has partnered with the Martindale-Brightwood, LLC to raze dilapidated, abandoned structures and construct new homes and other worthwhile projects in their place. While it may appear demolition is retroactive to community preservation, in many cases, it can serve as a true catalyst to revitalization efforts. Candidates for demolition are typically abandoned, unsafe structures, which impede the quality of the built environment in the community. Additionally, such structures have proven to be havens for drug activity and vagrancy. Within most scenarios, demolition and new construction advertise a better future for community residents.
